Community Tutoring Support Us Our Team

Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in becoming a tutor! Volunteers like you are the backbone of our operation. To sign up, we ask that you please also go to the website of your regional CT branch via the communities dropdown menu in the navigation bar and fill out the form that will be linked on their website. There, we will ask that you sit for a brief interview with a member of our HR Team and if you pass, you will be contacted with further information.

What the interview look like and what will I be asked?
Someone from one of our HR teams will reach out with a Zoom link, and it will just be a quick 15 minute conversation about why you want to tutor and your academic history. Good luck!
How will I keep track of my community service hours?
We will provide each tutor with a personal log for their hours. To claim your hard-earned community service hours, simply email your regional director and they will sign the necessary documentation.
What subjects will I tutor?
We will ask you for which subjects you feel comfortable teaching during the interview and the subsequent forms. We will then pair you with a child who needs tutoring in those subjects.

Starting A New Chapter

Notice that your local community isn't represented by our organization? If you would like to start a regional chapter of CT in your local area, reach out to us at communitytutoringco@gmail.com for further instruction. We want to add that while starting a new chapter sounds daunting, we will be there every step of the way to guide you, and it is a fantastic opportunity to be a local leader in your community. Thank you for your interest in CT.

What responsibilities will I have as a regional director?
As a regional director of Community Tutoring, you will have to reach out to local schools and community centers to recruit tutors and tutee signups. You will also manage an HR team and sign off on requested hours. If you need any help, we are always available!
What resources will I have as a regional director?
We will provide you with the framework for a successful chapter, most notably a Google Drive that will have every resource you might need to kickstart a new chapter.
Who should I ask if there is a situation that I cannot resolve?
You should reach out to our HR team @communitytutoringco@gmail.com with any specific questions.
